A celebrity-style mangalsutra… but made for a real love story

There’s a certain kind of message that instantly lights me up-when a husband reaches out wanting to design a custom piece for his wife. There’s something incredibly special about being trusted with that kind of love story.

And when it comes to mangalsutras, the meaning goes even deeper.
To me, a mangalsutra is unlike any other piece of jewelry. It’s intimate. It’s symbolic. It’s a daily reminder of love and marriage, one of the most meaningful pieces a woman can wear in Hindu culture.

Recently, I had the joy of working on a project that felt almost cinematic, the kind of piece you’d expect to see on a celebrity. A husband wanted to surprise his wife for her 60th birthday and their anniversary with something luxurious, modern, and deeply personal.

He told me he envisioned natural solitaire diamonds, something elegant but not loud, something that felt like her.

So I went straight to the drawing board ,sketching, imagining, refining and today, I’m so excited to share a little behind-the-scenes moment with you, my email family. These first design options were something I only shared with my in my newsletter, and it means a lot that you’re here.

Introducing what I now lovingly call the Celebrity Mangalsutra.
A one-of-a-kind custom piece featuring five GIA-certified natural solitaire diamonds —

approximately 6.15 carats in total
in a beautiful combination of round and pear-shaped stones.
Every diamond is VVS clarity, E–F color, Excellent cut.

Creating this piece was pure joy. Seeing his reaction when he saw the final design — and knowing she would unwrap a gift that symbolized decades of love — reminded me exactly why I do what I do.
